Park and Recreational Commission

Purpose

The Park and Recreational Commission is an advisory commission to the City Council.  It makes recommendations with regard to operation, maintenance, beautification, and rules and regulations of all city parks, recreational facilities and recreational programs.  The commission’s duties also include recommending the development of recreational programs and activities for the city's youth.

Members

The commission consists of five members, with at least one member from each ward in the City. The members are nominated by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. They hold office for staggered terms of two years. All members of the commission must reside within the City.
