Department: City Clerk/Finance
This position is within the Finance Department, under the direct supervision of the City Clerk. Work performed is clerical and is primarily related to the daily deposit of all funds received by the City and the periodic disbursement of funds for operations and other needs of the City.
Department: Community Services
Performs work of a clerical nature utilizing skills, knowledge and abilities normally acquired prior to assuming the position. The employee is responsible for issuing construction licenses, alarm permits, construction permits, providing reports, typing letters and correspondence on a word processor, entering data into a computer, answering telephones and helping customers at the front counter as well as various other duties relating to the Planning, Inspection and Code Enforcement Divisions of the Community Services Department.

The Pool Manager/Assistant Pool Manager/Head Lifeguard/Water Safety Instructor is responsible for guarding their area of responsibility, responding to any level of incident around the entire facility, enforcing the Aquatic Center rules fairly and politely, being responsive to all customer requests, ensuring customer safety, and other tasks assigned by the Recreation Supervisor.
Department: Police Department
This employee is responsible for the receiving of calls for service from the public by telephone or personal contact regarding emergency and non-emergency situations, complaints and animal control problems. Records all pertinent information and the dispatching of Police patrol forces to calls for service through radio operations. Employees of this class are under the direct supervision of a Division Commander and the general supervision of a Shift Commander. Employee may be responsible for the on-the-job training of new personnel.
This is general duty police work in enforcing laws and ordinances. This employee is responsible for the protection of life and property; prevention, detection, and investigation of crime and maintaining law and order. Work involves an element of danger and may be performed either in plain clothes or in uniform. The Patrol Officer is engaged in constant and varied contact with the public which requires the exercise of individual initiative. Work in this classification is skilled in nature, with Operator performing a variety of complex tasks. Most of the work is semi-routine, following established policies and procedures; however, a large portion requires initiative and independent judgment concerning techniques and methods by which tasks are to be performed.
